Turkey Meatloaf Recipe Hints and Suggestions

  1. A one ounce package of Lipton golden onion recipe soup and dip mix is called for in this recipe. Regular Lipton onion soup mix can also be used.
  2. Italian style breadcrumbs are seasoned with Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion powder and garlic powder. Plain breadcrumbs can be used in place of the seasoned breadcrumbs if desired.
  3. To prepare the glass pan, either spray the bottom and sides with non-stick cooking spray, or use a paper towel to spread a bit of margarine around the bottom and sides. Properly preparing the pan will help prevent the meatloaf from sticking to the bottom and sides.
  4. Ground beef can be substituted for the ground turkey in this meatloaf recipe if desired.
  5. Meat lovers can try using a mixture of ground beef, veal and pork, in place of the ground turkey.
  6. Do not over mix the meatloaf, or an overly dense meatloaf will result.
  7. Substitute ketchup for the tomato sauce for a more traditional flavored meatloaf.
  8. To make BBQ turkey meatloaf, substitute BBQ sauce for the tomato sauce.
